It was a silent night, it was a holy night in the humble manger where He lay. And in the calm and still, His first cries were heard, and the heart beat of Heaven began. And in that infant child who was born to die, He held a promise in those tiny hands, for He would heal the sick, cause the blind to see, and wipe the tears of every sinful man. But for tonight, His tears will be wiped by our faithful hands.
For peace was born this night- and hope was born this night- and a love was born this night- a love like we’ve never known- but we now can know -that we can rejoice in life and we can have hope in death – and we can love each other perfectly. And He came to us upon a midnight clear, and the angels in their realms of glory sang. And they sang to us, to prepare the way for our Lord to walk on earth as man. And on this night, we’ll sing and rejoice for our Savior reigns.
