On the twenty-fifth day O Lord, of January, he came into this world ~ And there would be so much that he would see and do in the ninety-one years that God gave him ~ For the rest of us here O Lord, he was our rock of faith and grace, Your strength ~ That was clear to us in how he lived his life ~ And in his simple words we’d see your face. I know he’d say… “Keep the faith my children ~ God is with you now ~ He will not desert you ~ I know; I’m with Him now†~ On the twenty-fifth day O Lord, of January, You would call him home ~ And there would be much sadness in the loss of him ~ Only twenty-five years to call his own ~ For the rest of us here O Lord, our hearts are broken ~ And still we turn to You ~ We search for peace inside your loving arms ~ We will find comfort in your words of grace ~ The Lord cries… “Keep the faith my children ~ I am with you now ~ And I will not desert you ~ He knows; he’s with me now†~ On the twenty-fifth day O Lord, You came for us ~ In a stable You were born ~ And our lives would change forever with one cry ~ Your eternal promise began here ~ You remind us to… “Keep the faith my children ~ I will bring you home ~ And on that day you will find glory ~ You know I’m your Savior Lord ~ You know I’m your Savior Lord.
